Hello! I'm KYAmai but you can call me my real name if you'd like to. My name's Jenny :3

My username is the combination of the Japanese exclamation, "Kya!" which is made to express strong emotion (though I initially thought it's yelled when seeing something adorable like, "Kya! How cute!" or something like that) and Amai which is the Japanese word for sweet. I like the way both words sounded so I thought it was a suiting nickname since I really love cute things such as puppies ^_^ (though I'm not even Japanese, I just find Japanese culture interesting!)

I like to draw manga which I've been practicing since the summer after my fifth grade year and it's been a few years since then, but I still really love to draw manga. I mainly draw fan art such as for the Animal Crossing video game series and original characters I make up in my head. I'm a self-taught artist though and I browsed the internet and read a few manga to learn the basics.

I first discovered what manga and deviantART when I was about 10 or 11 years old and used to be on an Animal Crossing fan site since Animal Crossing is still one of my favorite video games and I saw the link to this website on a user's account. After I clicked the link, I was truly amazed at all the artwork I saw and I wanted to do the same thing. So I made an account and learned how to draw using tutorials online. It was also the year I became an avid anime fan which brought on some more inspiration. I was on the former account for a while but decided to make a new account since I feel like more recent work is better.

I take a long time to publish my sketches because school takes up a lot of time and I'm busy doing homework sometimes but I'm usually online on Saturdays or just playing video games on my 2DS. :P

Speaking of video games, my top 2 favorite game series are The Legend of Zelda and (as I say a lot just because the game is too adorable and sweet) Animal Crossing, but I'm also getting into the Super Smash Brothers series as well.

As for music, I like to listen to soundtracks from the anime shows I watch and the one from Attack on Titan is really amazing!

I know I'm not quite experienced in art considering I've only drawn for about 4-5 years but I still really enjoy it and hope to improve. It's my dream to write and draw my own manga series one day! *w*)/
